U.S. auto sales were...“strong” yet again at just over 12 million annualized units in November. We hear over and over again of how this economic recovery is following the contours of prior cycles, especially 2002 and 1992...Maybe 12 million is better than the levels one would expect if the economy was double-dipping, but...For decades, the norm for auto sales was 16-18 million, even during tough times.
